About Us
Rob Robbins recognized his passion for building at the tender age of ten.
His father had determined that the best way to add to the family home was to build a basement. As the fourth of nine children, Rob spent many after school hours along side his brothers, digging through the crawl space shoveling the dirt onto a powered conveyor belt to be hauled off by a small dump truck. "The Hole," affectionately named by the family, became Rob's first construction site.
In 1987, Rob began his career in construction by hanging lathe, the chicken wire material stucco adheres. To his advantage, Rob developed an appreciation for the precision necessary to build straight walls, eaves and fascia. In fact, framers and subcontractors claim it's more of an "obsession."
Rob became a licensed contractor in 1993 and began specializing in luxury homes in 2001. With the assistance of his wife, Liz, they have made Robbins Construction a solid force in the local custom home industry. Rob and Liz maintain an office in the occasionally chaotic home they share with their children.
